Why do I need this additional tool?

The PICS Sales History Module gives you the flexibility you need to adjust your reporting to meet your business needs. With ten sort levels and "sort on the fly" capability, you can utilize many different sorting scenarios in a single report.

What about fiscal period reporting?

The module sorts data based on your G/L fiscal calendar, not calendar months, giving you the fiscal period reporting you need. The module also supports users on 5-4-4 accounting periods.

How much detail does it provide?

As much as you'd like. Your report data comes directly from QAD Enterprise Applications ( MFG/PRO )'s Invoice History records. And you can organize the data into ten categories with summary information or individual invoice detail. The report uses the salesperson at the time the invoice was generated to ensure that all data will match.

What about flexibility?

PICS puts the PROGRESS toolset to work to retrieve data based on your selection criteria. The data is stored in a virtual table where you can change the number and priority of sorting parameters without having to create a whole new report.
